Personal Security Codes
What is a Personal Security Code (PSC)?
Your personal security code (PSC) is a 4-digit code used with your Student ID. You use it to access your financial aid awards, academic history and DARS (degree audit) report. Only you have access to your PSC. If you have a social security number, then your PSC is the last four digits of your social security number; if you do not have a social security number (for example, international students do not have one), then your psc is the last four digits of your student ID number. If your SSN was not on your admission application, your PSC is the last four digits of your Student ID.
Any student who has attended UT (Knoxville) Fall 1988 Semester or later has a PSC on the student record system. It is not possible to assign a PSC if you do not already have one.
