Students must meet prerequisite and corequisite requirements for all courses with such restrictions, and no student shall be permitted to register for those courses in which the requirements have not been met.
Students who failed a course which is a prerequisite to one appearing on their schedule must execute the proper course change. Failure to do so may result in an involuntary drop of the course after all opportunities to add another course are past. A similar consequence may occur in any situation where a student does not have the proper prerequisites or corequisites for a course.
Corequisite – Specific conditions, requirements, or courses that must be completed at the same time as another course. For example, Food Science and Technology 421 is a corequisite for Food Science and Technology 429.
Prerequisite – Specific conditions, requirements, or classes that must be completed before enrolling in another course. For example, English 101 is a prerequisite for English 102.
